CHAPTER 1.0
Whew. What a day it has been. On Tuesday I got Avid Xpress DV 3.5, so thinking that it would be a good time to do a reinstall to treat the app with the utmost of respect, I went ahead and repartitioned, reformatted, and reinstalled. It actually took all day. I picked up a copy of Norton Systemworks 2002 for antivirusing and Ghost imaging, so there I was, in front of me was the freshest, cleanest install, ready to go and bursting with fruit flavor. 7 CD-Rs later, I had a brand new set of drive images.
CHAPTER 1.1
I followed in the footsteps of the former self I had been the night previous, this morning, then I awoke. I had a nice brisk walk on my way to Starbucks for a Venti House Coffee with two shots of expresso (or as I am so consistently corrected, the right syntax is add shot).

I pass the Zen Center ( red brick building) and the US Mint (they only make coin at this one, scary though the guards and the barbed wire) going home.
Eager to get into Avid and start editting, I whip out the tutotial CDs and begin a reinstall. Last night one of the files I believe it was car with cows has dropped playback so I assume that it is a bad media file and want to begin anew. I begin to realize that this is not going to be easy.
CHAPTER 2
I sit here trying to conceive of the best way to detail the sheer frustration in which I participated, to come to know that in fact it doesn't matter. I had to reformat and reinstall again. The disk images failed. C'est la vie.
It is late. I am beginning to grant sleep thoughts that endear. One last photo upload:

People can be pretty creative when left to their own devices:
Upload a picture.
Its fun and easy.
Or just browse.

I have been editing/coding (kind of ) php scripts...
Some image slideshow galleries will be available soon.
I will be uploading some pictures of paintings, other art. photos and other items ripe with interest.
I recorded some sounds of the wind chime in the kitchen.
I think that I defeated the ATRAC encoder on the MD recorder. I was using a Sennheiser ME66 and had the manual gain way up, as I tapped the mic between the reeds (?) of the chime. As soon as I realized that the sound was distorting I had no real choice but to keep on keeping on. I can upload the file when I get a chance. Tomarrow: more of the same, though Justine is feeling under the weather (there's an expression for you) and may stay home from school. I will be her nurse and make sure that she gets enough fluids, food, and Sex and the City. As it stands however, it is time to go to bed. one uploaded foto and then that is it...
bon soir.

server down
This is the first time that my webhost has dropped the ball on my service. What is 99.9% uptime mean exactly?
Hmmm....
I will not fret.
The problem is that I have been spending the last few days updating this 'b log and the attached site. What to do?
I have given some thought to going to CompUSA to find the Canon Digital Elph with which the photos on this 'b log were taken.
Tragic September eleventh photos. Really superb voice. I found the site through the nycbloggers.com page showcased on blogger.

Hello.
This weekend I purchased a PD150. I am ecstatic about the prospect of shooting some real video, ENG stuff, getting out into the field and making it happen.
