Joshua Tree, Jojoba Beans, and Costa Rica

Been in Isla Vista for a spell. Stayed at the infamous Rancho on Abrego Street. I do not have the words nor the time to expound on how pleasant, kind, and serendipitous it has been to be here..
while I was here:
Kayak'd @ Devereax/Sands
Sailed a Hobie Cat off of Ledbetter
Went to Brewhouse with some German travellers
Roamed SB vaguely in search, vigilantly watchful, for J...

We head to Joshua Tree this afternoon. There, we will work on a jojoba bean farm for a few weeks, picking beans @ $1.2/lb Presumably, $200/day is possible. If each of us can depart with $2000.00 we will be in excellent shape to venture on toward Costa Rica.
Thank yous, and smiles to everyone at the Rancho-Tommy, Keelen, Matt, Connelly, Boomer, Brittany, Mitch, Pat, Martin and everyone I forgot...Big ups, see you all soon.

Travel for a year

Or so, is the plan now. Got my head re-arranged at BM and am now going to be travelling all over. Perhaps all the way south to Costa Rica. Met up with Byron (who camped with Sean and Tyler-crazy motherfuckers from Puget Sound, kind hearts, but I digress...) and is en route to Costa Rica to volunteer in some organic, permaculture farming.

That's the distant plan now. Yet- Not having a plan is part of the plan. Go with the opportunities that present themselves, remaining open to life. I've already said goodbye to RXV, sat down with Buddy and thanked him. Will be writing an email shortly to everyone there to say thanks and goodbye with contact info.

My writing will continue, but now it goes back to paper. Fitting, as I am taking a much, much needed break from the internet, computers, electrical communication. I'll let my cell phone expire. I paid my last internet bill. My hope is that, with righteousness in my heart, I will find people of similar ambitions: to travel, to share, to help others, to live with open hearts, to fall in love with life and its adventures. My tiny studio feels so crowded right now. I want to be back under the enormous sky, let my heart sing out with slaw-jawed amazement. Go be a simpleton. Admire the world.
